Across Connecticut, more breweries are welcoming well-behaved pups, making it easy to explore new stops with your four-legged friend along for the ride. From taproom hangs to sunny patio visits, there are plenty of places where great beer and wagging tails go hand in hand.

Go ahead and start sniffing out your weekend plans. Dog-friendly beer adventures are waiting across the state. Just ask Barney (follow him on IG!), one of our favorite trail-loving pups, who never misses a chance to hit the road and soak up a few extra pets along the way.

At CTBeer.com, we’re all about helping people discover local breweries, support neighborhood taprooms, and make great memories one stop at a time.

A big thanks to our good friend Samantha Tweedie, who helped update this list for 2026 and shared photos of Barney enjoying a few brewery hops across Connecticut.

Dog-Friendly Brewery Etiquette
A brewery visit with your dog should be fun for everyone. A few easy tips help keep it that way:

• Keep your dog leashed and close by so everyone stays comfortable
• If your pup gets a little too excited, staff may ask you to step outside
• Not every brewery provides water bowls or treats, so bringing your own is always a good idea
• Some breweries welcome dogs only on patios or during warmer months
• Policies can change, so it never hurts to double-check with breweries before visiting

A smooth visit helps keep breweries welcoming for all Fidos.
